Sat Nam Goddesses,
It’s a new moon weekend, and I will be tailoring my Saturday and Monday classes at Buddhi Yoga (both at 10:00 am) to this event…you can also join my Saturday class via livestream at YourBuddhi.com, and it will be available on demand later in the week.
New Moons are excellent launchpad moments to up level our consciousness and create a life that is happier and more harmonious. This New Moon in the sign of Aquarius is a perfect time to reveal, remember and address the root of the root cause of any dissonance or dis-ease in our lives.
The other day a friend of mind was getting a colonoscopy. I asked how she was doing, and she told me that her doctor had made an offhand comment that in the future, they wouldn’t need to do these types of procedures anymore, and that the science was getting to a place where the doctor could look at a person’s bowel movement and deduce all the same information they could from the photos of a colonoscopy.
As a yogi, I can’t help but laugh because in Ayurveda, the sister wellness science of yoga, the best Ayurvedic doctors will look at your bowel movement and tell you everything wrong with you, and have been doing this for thousands of years.
Whether the western doctor tells you about polyps, inflammation, or cancer, and the Ayurvedic doctor tells you about your energy tendencies (vata, pitta, kapha) and environmental and dietary conclusions, what would really be the best information is the root of the root cause of all your problems.
There is a point in your consciousness where polarity is created. And that is the root cause of separation and illusion—a place from which your forget your Divinity and all dis-ease spirals forward from, corroding and calcifying every moment and relationship and experience…
For Goddesses, a big clue as to where the root of the root cause is lies in where and how we become insecure, and betray our powerful Divine Feminine nature, forgetting the incredible gift it is to incarnate as a women in the Earthly Realm. Yogi Bhajan tried many times and in many ways to wake up women to their innate power, knowing it to be an efficient way ripple authenticity and True Identity across the planet. Women are 16 times more powerful then men. Women hold the heart of the home. Fix a women of her insecurities—you heal the world.
The way we relate to masculine energy, whether it be a man in real life, or relating to the Generating, Organizing, and Destroying energy that flows through Creation, is the place and moment that our insecurities can take root and take us off course. As women we have an underlying, etheric tendency towards fluctuation, where as the male energy tends towards stability. How we react to fluctuations and to stability is ripe with information of True Self.
Yogi Bhajan would constantly counsel women to try and not to control men. Yes, we are right all the time. But he would urge us to be graceful in our ‘rightness,’ so as not to fall into a cycle of karma in every interaction we have with men—anger/controlling/nagging.
The greatest beauty in you is that if you become sacred, your price will go up. If you want to protect your future, never act cheap. If you want to be free, never control anything—it will drag you to death. If you want to be respected, never nag. And if you want to be loved, then deliver. Let your words mean what you say.”

I am telling you all of this so that you can look at the few key relationships in your life, your husband or partner, your children, your best friends. Or if between partners, reflect back on past partnerships. When did you at in accordance with your Divinity, and when did you nag, scold, or complain? When do you make jokes at their expense? When do you describe something they did with sarcasm? In those moments of insecurity, if you dare to go deep within, you will find the fissure that continues to feed polarity in your consciousness…
