Sat Nam Goddesses,
Every 18 months or so Venus begins her pretend journey backwards to collect the muck for around 40 days before shooting forward and letting go of what she collects—if you are lucky!
The goddess Venus first grew within a seashell, and with the help of the wind was blown and birthed at shore. The collective consciousness will feel the drawing back and pull of the water returning to sea against the seriously powerful birthing and rising of #feminineforces we have seen this past new moon cycle. And on a personal level, this New Moon Libra cycle will be a magical portal to rebalance your True Identity and Authenticity in the areas of romance and finance in your personal lives and rebalance how you relate to “things” that feed your ego in a more healthy way.
I created this experience so that you can use and practice it for the next forty days. No, you don’t have to do it daily, although that would be great. I just ask that you do it rhythmically— meaning at regular intervals, like twice a week or every other day. Rhythm creates change and entrainment in our physical, emotional and energetic bodies so that the Soul Identity can trust the container of being and our lives to rise and reveal itself to….Self. 🙂
The breath and meditation technique I am sharing comes from the court of Third Master, Guru Amar Das. He taught it to his followers to maintain the momentum of the teachings of Guru Nanak, the First Master. The core of his teachings were that we are not human, we are a Soul. One soul, one vibration. And that when we keep our mind on this truth and the Divine, we sit comfortably in the ecstasy of awareness aka Wahe Guru—even as we live out our mundane lives. And this is how we experience Jivanmukt, liberation while living.
I love this breathwork series because it is really only three breaths and it does SO much. It reveals something so beautiful in our consciousness, something like the Tree of Life. Sorry—for this Goddess of the West, and, in particular, a product of the spiritual mish-mash of Southern California, there is no other way to describe it. For those that are unfamiliar this symbol it comes from the Kabbalah system and is an inter-dimensional map of consciousness with 10 spheres that are visible (the 11th one is hidden and it is where the coming together of Divine Knowledge of Wisdom, Light and LOVE comes together ). The Tree of Life represents the macrocosm and microcosm, the internal Infinite Universe and the Universe Universe…there is a lot more that can be said about this symbol, but if you can keep it as a visual during this practice and it helps you, then I am glad I shared about it with you!
Maybe you went through something of a serious obstacle that narrowed your path this past new moon cycle or you are on the cusp of something big in the money and/or relationship areas of your life right now. This meditation will help you stay steady in your True Identity and not get caught up in the Maya of lust, power, prestige, or fear of new adventures. When you are right with your True Identity, you can handle anything, anywhere, anytime, and #still have space for JOY in every moment.
This is an ALL LEVELS practice so ask a girlfriend or family member to join you in singing up! Let’s commit to making this New Moon cycle one of steadiness, JOY, and one where our consciousness reveals the 11th hidden sphere in the Tree of Life!
Remember, miracles are always possible….at any time…as long as we have a breath and rhythm ready to catch them in our lives.
If you are local please join me at Buddhi Yoga in La Jolla 10:00 am on Saturday for a kundalini experience which will include sacred plant anointing and an amazing community of heart-centered yogis to breath with. 🙂 This is my last class before I head to Sedona for Level 2 Plant Medicine training, and I am looking forward to sharing with you all the treasures I uncover when I return!
P.S. For those wondering, the powerful Ik Onkaar track I use comes from the Raj Academy group based in the UK whose mission is to provide mantras in sacred scales called Raag exactly as they were played and practice in the time of the Sikh Gurus. Practicing with their music is an amazing experience! You can find them here.
You can also stream this video individually for $11. Check out this and other great videos at the link below.
Please read: This Venus Retro/New Moon practice is not suitable for those Goddesses that are pregnant—although you can feel free to listen to the mantra and visualize the breathing practice and connect with our community energy. Always check with your physician before practicing with me or with anyone. Please listen to your body, do not do anything that causes pain or shortness of breath, and use your common sense. All of the assertions I may make related to wellness or health are rooted in my understanding of yogic technology and my own experiences.
